Our Time
It is a most fragile, single strand of a delicate web,
that holds only those who wish to remain.
Life created it not to keep others out, but
to bring people together for the benefit of the makers of our future.
Label one a "Marriage", if you wish, but it was here before words,
And though we can try to make it into something more, or less,
try to define new limits, or demand new potentials,
it will continue to be as simple or as complex as we make it,
as much or as little as we do.
Whatever we do to it, the children will be born,
and our future made.
Because we do not define "Love".
Love defines us.
